Job Description for ITAL Editorial Board Member

Key Responsibilities

Members of the ITAL Board have several key responsibilities:

  1. Reviewing articles submitted to the journal and providing guidance to the editor on submissions’ suitability for the journal and contribution to the field;
  2. Shaping the direction and strategy for the journal; and
  3. Soliciting contributions to the journal (based on personal networking, conference attendance, etc.)
  4. Participating in monthly online Editorial Board meetings

Attendance at ALA Annual and Midwinter is optional.

Term of Service

Editorial Board members serve two-year terms, normally beginning July 1 and ending June 30 of the second year. Terms are renewable up to a maximum of four consecutive years.
