First Activity
We continued to receive webinar proposals and we discussed additional professional development content as well as collaborated with the CAM committee in seeking synergies amongst our two groups.

What will your group be working on for the next three months?
I am preparing to transition chair leadership to Steven Pryor and assume the role of past chair on the committee.

The committee is looking ahead to developing a webinar series on professional development and collaborate with the CAM committee on a needs assessment survey.

First Activity
Mark has been working with each of the presenters to get their sessions up and running, and we are now starting to see the results coming in as each event is marketed and offered.

Education Committee – September 2018 Report

Recent Activities

First Activity
The committee met and approved several new webinars for our Spring lineup and we are working with Mark to get these going:

1. Techniques in managing library services platform implementation
2. Guiding digital natives through digital citizenship
3. Universal parity to resources
4. In-house digitization vs outsourced digitization
5. Diversity in libraries: creating an interdisciplinary space

The committee is also looking at documentation, guidelines for presenters, and assessment of webinars as part of our work for the Spring semester.

Education Committee – December 2018 Report


The group met 2-3 times this quarter.

Recent Activities

First Activity
The committee has several initiatives that we are working on:
• We have released an RFP with a deadline of November 2nd so that we can prepare our Spring 2019 lineup
• We are planning to deploy a needs assessment in Spring 2019 (modeled after the one that was implemented a few years ago) to get a better sense of the type and format of content the membership is interested in
• We have created three working subgroups to organize committee documents, and refine some of our practices around working with presenters and assessing our offerings
